My thoughts on Snow Patrol,not just ”another one of those bands”

Well maybe or maybe not.I tend to have mixed feelings towards this band for a whole lot of reasons.Im sure most of you guys know this band mainly for their hit single ”Chasing Cars” which was repeatedly played again and again on the radio at some point in the past.

I first heard of Snow Patrol when their first hit single ”Run” (Which was in an earlier album,Final Straw) hit the UK charts awhile ago,this was before ”Chasing Cars” was even written.

So yeah i heard the song and that got me interested in the band,i went on to listen to a few more of their songs (Somewhere a clock is ticking,Firelight,Chocolate) and i can fairly say theres quite an interesting number of their songs to listen to.To be honest,they dont sound as much as what you usually hear on the radio,their actually not bad (Well their not THAT good either,but they are fun to listen to).Theme is quite mundane,typical boy-loves-girl lyrics.Its the way some of the songs are played that i like.XD

Now after the release of their Eyes Open album (the one with ”Chasing Cars” in it),i decided to buy it and i have to say it wasnt as good as the older one,the songs were too predictable.There was ONE song tough that really stood out,it sounded completely different in mood and the emotion in the song was really great.This song i recommend to you guys to listen-

You might not like it,but give it a go,it sounds really unique and emotional,haha

Havent bought their latest album (A hundred million suns) but after hearing the ”hit” from that album (Take BackThe City) i might not want to anyway.So overall,they do sound really good in some songs but in most,they are too predictable.Till next time…
